New Graffiti Program Coming

Volunteers have been working to clean up the town of taos through a new graffiti abatement program... it's expected to happen monthly, with workers targeting areas that are most often hit by vandals. Local inmates will be able to volunteer with the program, as well.

Four Recovering From Stabbing

Four people are recovering from injuries they received - when they were stabbed at an Albuquerque church on sunday. It happened near the end of mass at saint jude thaddeus parish in northwest albuquerque... 24-year-old Lawrence Capener reportedly jumped over several pews and rushed across the altar toward a group in the choir... Capener reportedly stabbed the church choir director, a flutist, and two other parishioners. All of the people who were injured are expected to survive. An off-duty police officer and several others subdued the attacker until police arrived. No word on what prompted the attack.

Gas Prices Going Down Again

It's costing you less at the gas pump lately... gas prices have been falling nationally, and in new mexico. the latest lundberg survey examining gas prices across the country shows the national average has fallen 11 cents a gallon over a two-week period that ended on friday, dropping to 3-54 a gallon... gasbuddy.com shows the average in new mexico dropped about eight cents a gallon during that time, to an average of 3-36 a gallon as of friday... but the price has continued to drop over the weekend, to an average of 3-33 a gallon.
