A New mexico house committee has rejected legislation that would have raised the state's minimum wage every year based on the cost of living. The house voters and elections committee nixed the bill on a vote of 6 to 5.

There's still a senate minimum wage bill that would raise the state's minimum wage from 7-50 an hour to 8-50 an hour.
