As the talks over emergency dispatch in the area continue... the taos county commission plans to offer the town of taos options for improving dispatch operations. Commissioners discussed some possibilities this week... and decided to go the town with the option of remaining in and remodeling the civic plaza location, or moving to the offices on albright street. The town had voted in august of 2011 to move the command center... and there's a proposal on the table to move dispatch to the kit carson electric cooperative's regional command center. Cost has been an issue, as the county and town largely split the cost of dispatching.
