A redistricting plan for the Public Regulation Commission has been approved by State District Judge James Hall. The district for Northern New Mexico, including Taos, will be heavily Democratic. The district also includes Sante Fe and Chama and extends to Rio Rancho. The five-member PRC regulates utilities, telecommunications, insurance and motor carriers such as ambulances.
