The postal service will keep delivering packages on saturdays, but will move to five-day-a-week mail delivery as a way to save 2-billion-dollars a year. Post offices that are now open on Saturdays would remain open on saturdays. Postmaster general and CEO patrick donahoe said the postal service's financial condition is urgent. The post office says package delivery has gone up by 14-pecent since 2010, while the delivery of letters and other mail has declined.
