Gas prices are down in New Mexico, even though the national average is up. The national average for gas prices has gone up for the first time since early October. The most recent lundberg survey was released on Sunday... Gas prices averaged 3-32 a gallon, up more than 6 cents from December 21st. In New mexico, gasbuddy.com says we're currently at an average of 2-90 a gallon... on December 21st, the aveage in new mexico had hit 3-0-4 a gallon. Nationally, Prices had fallen for the previous 11 weeks, falling almost 58 cents since hitting close to 3-84 a gallon on October 25th. Analyst trilby lundberg noted that more price increases could be coming. She attributes at least some of the increase to the fact that u-s refineries are passing on the higher cost of crude oil prices.
