The Albuquerque Zoo has a pregnant elephant. Biopark officials say blood tests confirm Rozie, the 19-year-old Asian elephant is 3 months pregnant, thanks to their in-house artificial insemination program. Albuquerque's BioPark is one of only a few facilities to successfully perform in-house artificial insemination. It's the second pregnancy for Rozie, who was born at the Albuquerque zoo in 1992. Her first pregnancy went fine and her calf Daizy is doing well, weighing more than 3,000 pounds and gaining up to two pounds a day. And by the way....women you think you have it bad.....Rozie will be pregnant for nearly 2 years. She's not due until November 2013.
