There's an open house meeting today to see the plans for the multi million dollar retreat complex next to the historic El Santuario de Chimayo. The meeting is being hosted by Los Ninos Foundation, the group raising money for the project. Residents can see the complex plans and talk to priests involved in the project. It was back in December that the Archdiocese of Santa Fe announced the plans for a retreat complex that will allow visitors to spend longer periods of time at Chimayo, rather than just an hour as most visitors do. However, some residents are concerned that the project will encourage more unwanted development.
