A 35-year-old woman has been arrested in the shooting death of a Taos man. The Rio Arriba Sheriff's Office has announced that 35-year-old Kaiwee Martinez told investigators - she shot Lawrence Sandoval in self-defense. Martinez was arrested on January 17th and was being held on a 100-thousand-dollar cash-only bond. Sandoval was shot november 3rd at martinez's home.
