The Taos Regional Landfill is hosting an informational meeting for the public on Monday, focusing on the modification of the landfill's new mexico environment department permit to allow the landfill to accept sludge, a special waste. Representatives of Taos Regional Landfill and the New Mexico Environment Department will be available to answer questions. Also, the permit mid-term review is being completed, and the permit is proposed to be transferred from the Town of Taos to the Taos Regional Landfill Board. The public is encouraged to make comments at the meeting, and comments also can be submitted on written forms at the meeting, by mail, or by e-mail. The meeting is monday the 22nd from 6 to 9 p-m at the kit carson electric board room at 118 cruz alta road in taos.
