There were some difficult driving conditions in the northern mountains yesterday morning due to the packed snow and ice. The tough areas included state highways 434 from Black Lake to Angel Fire, 38 from bobcat Pass to Eagle Nest and U.S. Hwy 64 from Taos Pass to Cimarron. Crews were out plowing, salting and sanding the roadways.
