Taos Academy and Taos Middle School are working on a project called SHINE THE LIGHT which is funded by State Farm Good Neighbor Foundation.
Students are studying domestic violence through workshops with organizations like Community Against Violence, Youth Heartline, Holy Cross Hospital SANE program, and Taos Police and also working with local artists to make relevant art.
One student, Vincent La Rosa, was part of a group that created a fused glass piece with Taos Institute for Glass Arts.
Maria Elena Martinez is taking a very digital approach to her piece.
The show opens at Taos Academy on Thursday, April 28th at 5:30.
