Taos Municipal School District is among the 34 districts New Mexico Education Secretary Hanna Skandera says will be audited by the Public Education Department.

She says that 34 of the state's 89 school districts will be audited.

The following school districts received letters Thursday from the New Mexico Public Education Department: Alamogordo, Albuquerque, Aztec, Bloomfield, Cimarron, Clayton, Clovis, Cobre, Des Moines, Dulce, Española, Fort Sumner, Gadsden, Gallup, Grants, Hagerman, Hobbs, Las Cruces, Los Alamos, Melrose, Maxwell, Moriarty, Pojoaque, Portales, Rio Rancho, Roswell, Santa Fe, Santa Rosa, Silver, Socorro, TAOS, Tucumcari, Tularosa and Vaughn.
